Develop a marquee global showcase video to act as the opening "tone-setter" for the Global Showcase. The B2B Spring Event will emphasize how we live at the intersection of content/experiences and the consumer – as told through our iconic franchises/brands. The video will set the stage to position The Walt Disney Company / Consumer Products Games and Publishing as an industry leader and premier global organization. The goal of this video is to emphasize CPGP’s focus on working across lines of business and franchises/brands to maintain an “always-on” approach to bringing the magic of The Walt Disney Company into the daily lives of our fans around the world and deliver products that generate experiences that exceed
When we joined the project, some key art for invitations was already underway, primarily the colorful swoosh. It was originally designed to change with each franchise. We felt it was abstract enough to breathe life and meaning into it, giving it a stronger purpose and connectivity to the overarching theme of "Imagine Together."
We needed to establish quickly the idea that these products, movies, and stories extend into the consumers' everyday life. We did so by visually connecting as many characters to their corresponding product and the continued fulfillment in the customers' life through images. We also created three key components that help further the story the opening sequence of characters riding the color ribbon and the abstract world of floating devices. It was important to establish the breadth of products and franchises and that they are broader than plushies and apparel; the products extend into the digital space. We also tied the whole thing together literally with a bow as it wraps in and around our story, bringing it all together at the end as the ribbon transforms into our logo of The Walt Disney Company.
